Their other awards include recognitions for news stories, feature stories and long-format devotional/inspirational writing. The publi- cation also received an award of excellence for editorial courage for "Our Emmaus Road" by Patrick Heery, which reflects on the pain felt when churches leave the PC(USA) and how that pain sometimes blinds us to the possibility and power of our small, yet vibrant worshipping communities. (This editorial was in the December 2014 issue and is avail- able at www.presbyterianmission.org/ministries/today/our- emmaus-road.) Presbyterians Today's redesigned format won an award of merit, and its "Civil Rights" cover won an honor- able mention. Presbyterian News Service won a Best in Class award for news service, three awards of merit and three honorable men- tions. Preview New Children's Curriculum A new PC(USA) denominational children's curriculum, Growing in Grace & Gratitude will launch in the fall of 2015. Growing in Grace & Gratitude is rooted in the foundation of Presbyterian identity; extends an invitation to discipleship that inspires children to practice generosity and love; and reaches beyond Sunday morning, encouraging children to live their lives as expressions of God's grace. Sessions of Growing in Grace & Gratitude are grounded in Bible stories that reveal God's grace. Through fun, age- appropriate activities, prayer and singing, children and their leaders will celebrate the meaning of God's grace in their lives as they encounter a living God. The curriculum includes a support map to familiarize leaders with developmental terms and descriptions that are relevant to working with children with disabilities or special needs. The map also offers suggestions for how to support children who have difficulty communicating, transitioning, reading and/or writing. Ideas are included for working with children who are visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing, or need mobility support. Free samplers include one session for each age group: Multi-age (Ages 5–10), Ages 3–5, Ages 5–7, and Ages 8– 10. Download samples at www.growinggracegratitude.org or order item 11000S through the PC(USA) Store, www.pcusastore.com or 800/533-4371.
