40 the Rev. Mona Arwood Bailey were with me from the beginning when I presented to them a possible outline that we took apart and put back together. We met and they responded to the study lesson by lesson. Biblically informed and the- ologically sound, Betsy and Mona know Presbyterian Women and circle m eetings. Our dis- c ussions were rich, and we were all a little sad when our task was over. I have commented that we "left our egos at the door" and agreed to be frank and honest. We tried to do what would be pleasing to God and appropriate for Presbyterian Women. I must also give credit to my hus- band, the J. David Fletcher, who has always been a great sounding board for my writings. He loved it when Betsy and Mona agreed with his comments. In boldness, I commend this study to you. The last five verses of t he Revelation to John begin with t he words: "And let everyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who wishes take the water of life as a gift."
