And God says the same to us, for we are no dif-
ferent than Paul. We are sent into the world at
the risk of our reputation, our authority and
our security. We may find our message rejected
and our authenticity under fire. We will always
be plagued by weakness and the fear that we
are ill-equipped for this calling. To us, as we
limp through life with a thorn in our flesh,
wrestling with what it means to be modern-day
apostles sent into the world, God says, "My
grace is sufficient." It's all you need.

Equipped for Apostleship
1. As you consider all you have learned about Paul in this study of 2 Corinthians, in what ways
would you say you are like him? How are you different?
2. In what ways do you feel equipped for the call to apostleship? In what ways do you feel
ill-equipped?
3. One last time, gather meaningful verses from Paul's writing in 2 Corinthians, choosing verses
from chapters 12 and 13 to complete your collection. Write them on notecards to replace or
add to the ones you've posted before.
Be sure that one of the verses you record, as a valuable reminder, is 2 Corinthians 12:9: "My
grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness."
