Bi ble study resour ce Questions for Discussion and Reflection 1.Reflect on memories of meals you had when you were growing up. What are ways you built relationships with others over food? 2. Jesus often met with people over food. In fact, eating with outcasts and sinners is part of what got him into trouble. What are some stories from the Gospels connected with meals that stand out to you? Why are those particular stories meaningful to you? 3. As Margaret Aymer points out, we are a culture of plenty when it comes to food. How can we be reminded to share with others so that our power is not expressed in the same way as the wealthy of Jesus' time? 4. What are some tangible ways you or your congregation can provide positive experiences for others with meals and food? How do you think this will make a difference in the lives of everyone involved? Larissa Kwong Abazia serves as associate pastor of Lake View Presbyterian Church in Chicago, Illinois. She has been a core team member and co-moderator of Racial Ethnic Young Women Together. Larissa also worked with PW's Racial/Ethnic Dialog for several years. ᑁᑈᑐᑅᑅᑇᑉᑅᑀᑒᑆᑄᑀᑁᑄᑂᑒᑇᑒᑓᑃᑄᑑ ᑇᑦᑥ%ᑱᑀᑘᑦᑩᑙᑗᑱᑀᑱᑦᑀ!ᑡᑰᑡᑱᑀ∀∀∀ᑂᑧᑕ ᑰᑓᑂᑦᑩᑙᑃᑠᑦᑩᑡ∃ᑦᑥᑰᑀᑘᑦᑩᑀᑱᑠᑗᑀᑣᑡᑥᑢᑀᑱᑦᑀᑆᑡᑔᑣᑗᑀᑰᑱ ᑖ#ᑀᑓ ᑱᑠᑦᑩᑀᑐᑓᑩᑙᑓᑩᑗᑱᑀᑅ#ᑤᑗᑩ%ᑰᑀᑔᑣᑦᑙᑂᑀᑒᑠᑗ%ᑣᑣ ᑧᑦᑰᑱᑀᑓᑀᑩᑗᑘᑣᑗᑕᑱᑡᑦᑥᑀᑦᑥᑀᑑᑦ!ᑗᑤᑔᑗᑩᑀᑄᑀᑓᑔᑦ ᑱᑀᑉᑗᑰᑰᑦᑥᑀᑈᑦ ᑩᑀᑦᑘᑀᑱᑠᑗᑀᑰᑱ ᑖ#ᑂᑀᑉᑗᑓ!ᑗᑀ#ᑦ ᑩᑀᑕᑦᑤᑤᑗᑥᑱᑰᑀᑓᑥᑖᑀᑨ ᑗᑰᑱᑡᑦᑥᑰᑀᑘᑦᑩ ᑐᑓᑩᑙᑓᑩᑗᑱᑀᑦᑥᑀᑱᑠᑗᑀᑔᑣᑦᑙᑁ 36
